Nicole spent time travelling around Europe and Canada (even working as a snowboard instructor in the Rocky Mountains) and then undertook some legal experience at a law firm in Shanghai, China. After returning to Australia, Nicole Jevtovic finished her Practical Legal Training with Queensland University of Technology and commenced working at boutique law firm on the Gold Coast which specialised in family law, domestic violence and criminal law.
Nicole Jevtovic worked as separation lawyer and a criminal lawyer for many years before going on to manage the family law division of the legal practice. Her years and years of experience as a criminal lawyer saw her in courts across Australia every day and gave her invaluable experience in court advocacy, including running her own trials as solicitor advocate.
Eager to further her knowledge, Nicole commenced her studies in her Master of Laws, focusing on family law subjects as she realised this is where her passion is. During this course, she became an accredited Australian mediator and started undertaking the studies to become an Accredited Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner with the ability to issue 60I certificates to assist in Federal Circuit Court proceedings applications.
Throughout her career, Nikki has also spent her free time volunteering a community legal centres. In the beginning of her career she commenced volunteering with Logan Legal Service, now known as YFS Legal, and enjoyed giving back to the community so much that she then volunteered at Gold Coast Community Legal Centre. Nicole now spends her volunteer time working with Women's Legal Service Queensland.
After having her three children, Nicole Jevtovic found that she had a deeper connection to family law through her understanding of being a mother and how important family is. This led to the beginnings of Clarity Legal Group. Nicole wanted to establish a law firm with a focus on the clients she didn't want to subscribe to the traditional legal practice mentality where a lawyer uses their administrative assistants to run a file and bill clients for every single phone call.
Clarity Legal Group was created by Nicole with a focus on what her clients need and achieving a positive solution to their family law problems. She is about simplifying the complicated legal process and making this very difficult time a little easier for her clients. Nikki created Clarity Legal Group to focus solely on family law disputes and decided to incorporate mediation into her practice to take away the combative side of separation.
